Saudi Arabia: Don't execute child defendants

In 2020, Saudi Arabian leaders announced an end to the death penalty for people who committed ‘crimes’ as children. Headlines around the world praised the Kingdom. 

But one year on, young men like Mohammed al Faraj and Abdullah al Howaiti still face the threat of execution. Their cases expose last year’s announcement as a mere PR stunt. 

Together, we need to speak up to make sure Saudi leaders know the world is watching - and that lip service to justice and human rights isn’t enough.
