Saudi Arabia: Save Mohammed Essam al-Faraj

Mohammed al-Faraj was 15 years old – just a child – when he was arrested outside a bowling alley in Medina. He was tortured into signing a “confession”.

Mohammed is at risk of the death penalty and his hearing was set for 3 April 2022 but, once again, it was postponed. This is the fifth time Mohammed’s hearing has been postponed. No reason was given by the Saudi Arabian authorities. So Mohammed remains in prison – not knowing what will happen to him.

Two years ago, in April 2020, Saudi Arabian authorities announced a Royal Decree, supposedly ending the death penalty for child defendants like Mohammed. But child defendants including Mohammed are still facing the threat of the death penalty.

Together, we’re speaking up for Mohammed and shining an international spotlight on Saudi Arabia. Add your name to make sure Mohammed doesn't face a death sentence - and is freed.
